Sometimes the smallest things can bring the biggest hope!
Y’all, this is one of those freebies that genuinely makes my heart happy! Our fur babies aren’t just pets. They’re family! They’re our little shadows, our cuddle buddies, our emotional support on the hard days, and sometimes the reason we smile when nothing else seems to be going right. And the thought of one of those precious babies getting lost? Absolutely heartbreaking!
That’s why I LOVE this freebie! FidoAlert is offering a FREE personalized pet ID tag, and I just successfully ordered mine for $0.00! This little tag has a QR code that can help someone who finds your lost pet access the information needed to help reunite you. It’s such a simple idea, but imagine the hope it could bring to a family desperately searching for their beloved companion! Because sometimes all it takes is one kind stranger, one little tag, and one moment of connection to bring a precious soul back where they belong.
How to Claim Your FREE Pet ID Tag
I went through the entire process myself, so I’m sharing a few helpful tips to make sure you don’t accidentally pay for anything you don’t want!
- Enter your phone number. You’ll receive a verification code to confirm your number.
- Complete your profile. Fill out your contact information and create your account.
- Add your pet’s information. This connects your furry friend to their identification tag.
- Watch out for the optional carabiner! A $2 carabiner may be added to your cart. You can remove it if you don’t want it.
- Choose which pets need tags. If you’ve entered multiple animals, you’ll be taken through the tag options for each one. Additional tags were offered for just $2 each, which really isn’t bad! But if you’re only claiming the free one, click “Skip Pet for Now” for the others.
- Check the optional shipping contribution. I was offered the option to contribute $1.89 toward shipping costs. This is completely optional! Simply uncheck the box if you don’t wish to contribute.
- Proceed to payment and review your total. Make sure your total is $0.00 before submitting your order.
That’s it! I completed the process, received my order confirmation, and was charged absolutely nothing!
Why Do They Ask for Your Phone Number?
Now, y’all know I love a good freebie, but I’m also cautious about handing over my personal information! FidoAlert requests your phone number because their service is designed to help reunite lost pets with their families. Having reliable contact information is an important part of making that possible. But I did a little digging because nobody wants to sign up for a freebie just to end up with a phone full of unwanted calls!
According to FidoAlert’s Privacy Policy, updated August 18, 2026, they do not sell mobile phone numbers or share them with third parties or affiliates for marketing, promotional, lead-generation, or unrelated purposes. That’s reassuring! However, their policy does allow certain other personal information to be shared for advertising-related purposes. They may also send text messages with your consent, and you can reply STOP to unsubscribe. Of course, a company’s privacy policy is a statement of its practices, not an independent guarantee, but I appreciate being able to review those details before sharing an offer with you!

I think it’s pretty special that something so small could play such a meaningful role in bringing a beloved family member home.
